# Step 3 - Staking/ DAO Candidate Registration

Note: This Step is optional and could be skipped

In this step, the operator provides the necessary information to register their chain with Tokamak Staking v2, enabling them to receive [seigniorage](https://github.com/tokamak-network/papers/blob/master/cryptoeconomics/tokamak-cryptoeconomics-en.md#2-seigniorage) in the future.

1. Enter the amount of TON you wish to stake. Ensure that the admin account selected in the [previous step](https://docs.tokamak.network/home/service-guide/tokamak-rollup-hub/tokamak-rollup-hub-platform/deploy-new-rollup-chain/step-2-account-and-aws-configuration) holds this balance. The minimum staking requirement is 1000.1 TON.
