# Chain Shutdown

Overview:

**Typical Duration (10-15 min) :**\
**Note: The shutdown process must be handled carefully if you are operating on mainnet.**

1. A deployed and active chain can be deleted at any time by clicking the bin icon for that chain.&#x20;

2. The chain destruction process will begin, and you can monitor the logs in the Deployment History tab.
